The lives of great leaders show a mixture of achievements and setbacks. In order to thrive in life, one has to make mistakes. How we learn from them helps determine who we are as a person. As a leader, one has many responsibilities. I wouldn't think less of a leader who shows weakness or failure. If anything, I would think more of them, because that's what makes them relatable. I think it would hard to follow someone who we couldn't relate to. Someone who makes mistakes every now and then is normal. However, if the person was always making mistakes that affected their people, I wouldn't think they were a good leader. One example of a great leader is Gandhi. Gandhi had overcome much triumph and tragedy in his lifetime. Gandhi worked to change the world in a nonviolent way, which was rare for his time. Many people doubted him, and even though Gandhi refused to hurt anyone or prove his points using violence, didn't mean that others were not afraid to do so. Gandhi was attacked and hurt, and he did nothing to fight back physically.
